Anna Wintour won’t be among the hallowed guests at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s multi-million dollar wedding — but she did have a hand in picking out the bride’s gown, sources confirm to Page Six.
Insiders told us that Wintour — who stunned the fashion world by announcing her departure as editor-in-chief of American Vogue after 37 years on Thursday — helped Sánchez come to a final decision on her dress.
We hear Sánchez, 55, will be wearing Dolce & Gabbana as she says “I do” to Bezos, 61, during their lavish $50 million wedding in Italy on Friday.
A source previously told Page Six that the journalist had selected a designer that she had a “longtime relationship” with over the years.
Bezos will also be wearing a tux from the Italian brand, according to Puck News.
Wintour was indeed invited to the Venice nuptials. However, she will not be attending the festivities in person as she is traveling this month and could not make it.
But, as Page Six previously reported, the nuptials will still be covered in Vogue in some respect.
Wintour’s role in the nuptials is no surprise as the fashion icon has been friends with Bezos for years.
The billionaire’s Amazon company was even one of the sponsors of the Met Gala back in 2012.
Sánchez was recently given Wintour’s seal of approval after being invited to last year’s Met Gala with her then-fiancé.
Since arriving in Italy, Sánchez has already turned heads in a number of looks for her and Bezos’ various pre-wedding celebrations.
She wore a waist-snatching Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown to host her welcome dinner Thursday night, after stepping out in an Alaïa tulip dress and a bedazzled black Alexander McQueen ensemble.
Sánchez and Bezos — who already legally tied the knot in the US — are set to wed Friday night in Italy.
Celebrity attendees on the guest include Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Kardashians, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King and Diane Von Furstenberg.
Orlando Bloom is also in Italy for the nuptials following his shocking split from Katy Perry.
The singer is currently on tour in Australia, but Sánchez posted a sweet message to her space buddy on Instagram early Friday, simply writing, “We miss you Katy.”
