Looking for a movie to watch with the family this Thanksgiving, but don’t feel like navigating the holiday crowd at the movie theater? You’ll soon be able to stream Here at home, the new Tom Hanks movie that is coming to digital platforms tomorrow.
Here marks a reunion for Hanks, co-star Robin Wright, and Forrest Gump director Robert Zemeckis. Directed by Zemeckis, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Forrest Gump writer Eric Roth, Here chronicles the many lives and stories that take place over many decades in a single household. It’s not actually a Forrest Gump sequel—the story is based on the 2014 graphic novel by Richard McGuire—but it certainly feels like Gump‘s spiritual successor.
Hanks and Wright star as a married couple, Richard and Margaret Young, while Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly star as Richard’s parents, Al and Rose. The film has been met with mixed reviews from critics so far, but there’s no doubt it will be a crowd-pleaser for families looking for a holiday watch. Everybody loves Tom Hanks!

Beginning on Tuesday, November 26 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also Monday, November 25 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time) Here will be available to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vudu, and more.
The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie will cost $19.99 to rent, and $24.99 to buy. If you rent the movie, you will have a 48-hour window to watch it after you hit “play.”

Here is not currently streaming free on any of the subscription-based streaming services. However, if you don’t want to pay to buy or rent the movie, we do expect to see Here streaming on Netflix in the near future.
When will the Here movie be streaming on Netflix?
Here will likely be on Netflix in the new year. Netflix has a deal with Sony Pictures that gives the streamer the rights to the Sony movies in the “Pay 1” window, meaning the first streaming window after the film’s home media release. Other recent Sony movies, including Harold and the Purple Crayon and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, came to Netflix about four months after opening in theaters.
If Here follows this same release pattern, you can expect Here to stream on Netflix around March 2025, aka four months after the movie opened in theaters in early November.
