A handful of stars were clearly feeling brave during the Met Gala 2025 after they brazenly broke Anna Wintour’s strict no-phones and no-social media rule during fashion’s biggest night.

On Monday, celebrities including rapper Megan Thee Stallion, Halle Bailey and Questlove risked the wrath of the Vogue Editor-in-Chief by whipping out their cell phones at the high-fashion fête.

It’s no secret that Wintour runs a tight ship at the annual fashion extravaganza, with past and present attendees clearly aware of her strict no-phones policy ahead of time.

But several stars merely saw that as a guideline, as social media was buzzing with iPhone snaps from inside the glitzy soirée.

In a clip shared on Instagram, the “WAP” rapper, 30, noted that guests aren’t “supposed to have our phones,” though admitting that “we are doing it [anyway].”

The three-time Grammy winner went on to share videos of herself indulging in the delicious appetizers inside the venue, with fellow rapper Doechii and WNBA superstar Angel Reese sitting at her table.

“Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA 👀😏,” the “Savage” hitmaker captioned her clip, which later featured Tracee Ellis Ross, Doja Cat and Sha’Carri Richardson making cameos.

In another video, “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo was seen blowing kisses before the rapper panned the camera to Angela Bassett in selfie mode.

Megan Thee Stallion — whose real name is Megan Pete — continued to film inside the venue, walking over to Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o before catching up with tennis legend Serena Williams.

“I snuck my phone in,” the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper added.

Other stars who made brief cameos in Meg Thee Stallion’s clips included fashion designer Michael Kors — whose custom outfit the rapper wore for the star-studded event — as well as Ciara and Tessa Thompson.

Elsewhere, singer Tyla snapped a selfie with Shakira before immediately posting it on her Instagram Story for her 11.2 million followers to see.

At the same time, Questlove was feeling brave and whipped out his cell phone inside the gala.

While the six-time Grammy winner, 54, did his best to hide his device from staffers at the party, he did gather a group of his famous friends — including Met Gala 2025 co-chairs Colman Domingo and Lewis Hamilton — for a quick selfie inside the restroom.

The trio was also joined by Ellis Ross, Evan Ross, Erivo, Tramell Tillman, Quinta Brunson and Sarah Snook for the snap.

Meanwhile, singer Sabrina Carpenter was spotted chatting to former “Late Late Show” host James Corden in the background of one of Questlove’s videos.

Wintour, who has helmed the Met Gala since 1995, famously discourages attendees from sharing glimpses of what’s inside the event.

“Guests must abide by a no-phone (and, therefore, no social media) policy once they’ve entered the museum,” Vogue notes, adding that the ins and outs of the annual fête are “kept largely under wraps.”

“But the run-of-show involves cocktails, dinner … and a high-profile performer (or two). Attendees also always have a moment to explore the exhibition,” the outlet added.

While it’s unclear exactly what the consequences are for celebrities breaking the rule, it’s been said that disobedient stars may risk not getting invited the following year.
