Gigi and Bella Hadid are publicly opening up about finding out they have a younger half-sibling, 23-year-old Aydan Nix.
The models spoke about their half-sister in a new Daily Mail article released Thursday.
“Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy,” the sisters said of father Mohamed Hadid’s relationship with a woman named Terri Hatfield Dull.
“Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19.”
After Nix’s father’s passing, she took a genetic test and found “a biological connection” to the Hadids.
The sisters all connected in 2023, and Gigi and Bella said they “embraced Aydan with open arms.”

“We’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family,” the two said. “As siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations — with Aydan included — about how to support and protect her.”
The two added that Aydan, who is also in the fashion world, would like to keep her “anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York.”
Gigi, 30, and Bella Hadid, 28, were born to Mohamed Hadid and Yolanda Hadid.
In addition to Gigi and Bella, the former couple also share a son: 25-year-old Anwar Hadid.

Prior to learning about Aydan, the model siblings already had a blended family.
