Drew Barrymore is still lusting over the mystery man she sat next to on the subway. After first opening up about the handsome stranger in a September 2024 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress-turned-talk show host confirmed that she still hasn’t gotten over her crush.

This morning’s “Drew’s News” segment honed in on “nanoships,” a new dating trend that prioritizes “fleeting yet meaningful moments,” like connecting with someone at a party only to chat for a while before parting ways and never seeing each other again.

According to Barrymore, she’s had her own experience with a “one-sided nanoship.”

“I still think about Mr. 6 Train,” she told co-hosts Ross Mathews and Valerie Bertinelli.

“I don’t think he really noticed me as much as me noticing him,” Barrymore continued. “But I don’t know what it was about you, sir. You drew me in. I was in like a laser beam. I was genuinely like, ‘I might just grab you and try to kiss you. But that would be inappropriate.’”

She added, “My heart was racing, I was sitting next to him. I don’t know who he was, I’ve never seen him again, and I’ll never forget him.”

Barrymore said she’s ridden that same subway train “many times” since then wondering if she would ever see him again, but she “never did.”

This is hardly the first time Drew Barrymore Show fans have heard about Mr. 6 Train. The 50 First Dates actress previously talked about her long-lost soulmate back in September when she confessed to taking out a “Missed Connections” ad in the newspaper in an attempt to find him again.

“I was hoping that maybe old-fashioned fate would bring us together,” she said at the time. “But I don’t think he ever saw it. I wish I would’ve said something to him.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
