Streaming DIRECTV is now even easier than ever – no satellite is required (but you can totally have one if you want it).

DIRECTV, best known for its satellite TV service, also offers the same great live TV experience over the internet with or without a Gemini device. When you connect via the Internet, you’ll also get unlimited cloud DVR storage, so you can record more of the content you love, no hassle (or satellite) required.

DIRECTV Packages and Prices:

The newly restructured DIRECTV has two ways to connect with four programming packages that vary in price and included channels.

Here are the different programming package options which are available no matter which way you connect.

What Are DIRECTV Genre Packs?

New DIRECTV Genre Packs, available for streaming subscribers, are a great way that DIRECTV is letting you customize a lineup that works for you.

There are four Genre Packs available, plus a number of mini pack add-ons and additional streaming service add-ons. It’s all part of DIRECTV’s appeal: You can centralize all of your streaming onto a single device and a single monthly bill.

What Is the Gemini Device?

The Gemini Air device is a streaming device similar to a Fire TV Stick or a Roku that connects to your Wi-Fi and makes it easy to access your live TV, On Demand content, and thousands of your favorite streaming apps – all from inside the DIRECTV experience.

One curated home screen will  allow you to access all of your favorite apps*, so you’ll never have to switch between TV inputs again to go between your live TV and streaming. A carousel tailored to you on the home screen will feature both live and streaming recommendations based on other things you’ve watched.

Yes! When you choose to stream DIRECTV without  a Gemini device, then there is a five-day free trial.

Does DIRECTV Have Local Channels?

It sure does! All of the base Signature Packages , starting with ENTERTAINMENT, include local news channels, and depending on which plans you choose, you’ll also get regional sports networks specific to your market.
