Bomanbridge Media and Sinking Ship Entertainment have locked in key broadcast sales across major Asian territories for children’s series “Dino Dex” and “Odd Squad U.K.”

The adventure-packed “Dino Dex” (13 x 22′) has been picked up by China’s Youku and Japan’s NHK, which licensed the series for both its 4K and E-Tele channels. Thai PBS and Hong Kong’s SVOD channel NOW TV also acquired the show for Hong Kong and Macau, expanding the franchise’s global footprint.

“Dino Dex” is set to launch on NHK’s E-Tele channel, while Youku will roll out the series on its platform later this year. The show is a spin-off of the successful “Dino Dana” franchise (52 x 22′), which was previously acquired by both Youku and NHK. It follows Dex, a nine-year-old artist, explorer and “paleontologist in training.” Like his predecessors, Dex uses his Dino Field Guide to magically see and study dinosaurs in the real world. The latest series sees Dex joined by his geology-loving neighbor Kayla as he embarks on his grandest dinosaur experiment yet. Original “Dino Dana” cast members return to the series.

NHK and NOW TV also picked up “Odd Squad U.K.” (12 x 22′), a co-production between Sinking Ship Entertainment and BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions, in association with CBBC, PBS KIDS, TVOkids and Radio-Canada.

The deals were brokered by Bomanbridge Media and follow Sinking Ship’s recent announcement of additional broadcast partnerships for “Dino Dex,” including ITVX Kids (U.K.), ABC Kids (Australia), beIN MEDIA GROUP (MENA) and Hop! (Israel). The show’s original partners include Amazon Kids+ (U.S.), TVOkids, TFO and Knowledge Network (Canada), and SVT (Sweden). The Shaw Rocket Fund provided additional support.

“We’re thrilled to have secured leading broadcast partners in key Asian territories for ‘Dino Dex,’” said Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge Media. “These new deals ensure that this engaging series will reach countless children throughout these important markets. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Youku, NHK and other broadcasters as Sinking Ship’s ‘Dino Dex’ and ‘Odd Squad’ franchises continue to grow in Asia.”

Beyond traditional broadcasting, Sinking Ship’s dinosaur franchise continues to thrive across multiple platforms. The official Dino Kids YouTube channel has surpassed 1.7 million subscribers and amassed over 1.6 billion views, reinforcing the franchise’s massive global appeal.

Founded in 2009, Bomanbridge Media operates from offices in Singapore and London, leveraging its Asian presence alongside global co-production and broadcast partnerships. The company’s catalogue spans over 5,000 hours across genres from natural history to food and technology.

Sinking Ship Entertainment has won 26 Daytime and Children’s and Family Emmy Awards over its two-decade history. The company is known for original series including “Jane” (Apple TV+), “Ghostwriter” (Apple TV+), “Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures” (Nickelodeon) and “Odd Squad” (PBS Kids).
