Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was reportedly banned from the football facility at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where the renowned football coach landed a $10 million-a-year gig.
Higher-ups in the school’s athletic department made the decision last week, two sources at the university told sportswriter Pablo Torre.
“That decision was that Jordon Hudson is no longer allowed in the football building; she is not allowed on the football field,” he revealed on his “Pablo Torre Finds Out” show Friday.
A source also told Torre, “Don’t think you’ll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.”
The podcaster said he also learned via family sources that Belichick’s relatives are “extraordinarily concerned about what has transpired.”
“There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation — everything he has built and worked for over decades,” Torre said, quoting an insider.
It is unclear to whom the sports journalist spoke, but at least one member of Belichick’s family has made her opinions publicly known: the football coach’s daughter-in-law.
Jennifer Schmitt — who is married to Stephen Belichick — weighed in via Instagram on a debate about whether Hudson, 24, should have stepped in during 73-year-old Bill’s awkward interview with CBS.
After comedian Nikki Glaser said the ex-cheerleader was simply acting as a publicist, Schmitt wrote, “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview.”
Bill, however, defended his girlfriend’s actions, saying in part that she was “simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track.”
Torre added on his podcast that the former NFL coach’s family members are now “digging into” Hudson’s background as well.
There has been a lot of concern among Bill’s inner circle as to the level of control the former pageant queen has asserted over her much-older boyfriend’s life.
Page Six exclusively reported last week that Hudson used her power to force her way into Bill’s Dunkin’ Super Bowl ad, which aired earlier this year. She reportedly has also amassed an $8 million real estate portfolio since she started dating him.
It appears, however, that the former New England Patriots coach may be taking steps to relay certain duties to others now that Hudson is in the hot seat.
We learned Thursday that Bill was spotted at a panel discussion this week with former Chicago Bears vice president of communications Brandon Faber, who may be acting as his new publicist.
