Dakota Johnson, who recently split from Chris Martin, has a no “a–hole” dating policy.

On Monday, the actress and her “Materialists” co-star Chris Evans stopped by the “Today” show, where host Craig Melvin asked, “If either of you were to engage with a real-life matchmaker, what would be one non-negotiable for you?”

After Evans explained that his prospective partner “must love dogs,” Johnson issued her scathing response.

“Like, not an a–hole,” she blurted out, which elicited a laugh from both the audience and those on set with her.

“That’s concise,” Evans, 43, said with a chuckle. “There it is! Nail on the head.”

Last Wednesday, Johnson, 35, hinted in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that she and Martin, 48, had parted ways.

Asked what made her role in “Materialists” “feel different for her,” she replied, “The complexities of all of the characters. The paradox. Everyone being confused about what the f–k they’re supposed to do with their hearts and what’s the right move. I found that very honest, and I found it just so relatable.”

She continued, “For a long time, we’ve all been so quick to judge relationships or how they should happen, how they should exist in the world, when people should get married, divorce is bad. All these things that actually, if you think about it, why is divorce bad? Why do people have to get married or at a certain age or only once? Why? It doesn’t matter.”

Hours later, People reported that Johnson and Martin — who dated on and off for nearly eight years — had broken up for good, with a source claiming, “It feels final this time.”

Johnson then stepped out sans engagement ring, which Page Six was previously told Martin gave her about two years into their relationship.

According to the US Sun, the movie star and the musician — who shares daughter Apple, 21, and son Moses, 19, with his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow — called it quits for two main reasons: their age gap and the topic of kids.

“They really tried to work through their issues, but the age gap was often a problem,” a source told the outlet.

“She’d [also] expressed that she may want children in the future, whereas Chris is kind of done with that part of his life,” the source added, making sure to note that there was not a lack of love between the two.

In fact, Martin showed he still cares for his former flame when he ended a Coldplay concert over the weekend by telling the audience, “Thank you so much, everybody. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to each other. Don’t forget to see ‘Materialists.’ We love you.”

Reps for Johnson and Martin have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
