Those are some fighting words.
Cruz Beckham publicly mocked his eldest brother, Brooklyn Beckham, for his many short-lived careers, further fueling rumors of a family feud.
The singer — who is the son of David and Victoria Beckham — took to TikTok over the weekend to share a video from a recent performance of his new single, “For Ya Love.”
When one commenter asked Cruz, 20, if he was “going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something,” he responded, “Wrong brother mate.”
At the time of publication, the clapback had already garnered over 8,000 likes from users on the platform.
Cruz’s “brutal” swipe, as some netizens called it, was seemingly a reference to Brooklyn’s many business endeavors in the last couple of years.
In 2017, Brooklyn tried to solidify a photography career when he released his book, “What I See.” However, he failed to establish himself as a photographer despite his book selling over 25,000 copies.
Three years later, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Brooklyn declared himself a cook on social media, attracting plenty of new followers. By 2021, he had his own YouTube show called “Cookin’ with Brooklyn.”
In 2024, he then released a luxury wine collaboration with a renowned vineyard in California’s Napa Valley, followed by his own hot sauce brand, Cloud 23.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn, 26, also expressed interest in pursuing a career in race car driving.
After undergoing intense training sessions for Evo Sessions, a race around the Miami International Autodrome, he told the Daily Mail, “My wife, Nicola [Peltz], was a little bit worried. And then she saw me in my race outfit, and she was like, ‘You should do this as a job. You look really good.’ So, I might be changing careers!”
Brooklyn admitted at the time that he had “tried a few things” over the years but “finally found” his passion.
“I’ve always been a fan of racing and really enjoyed it. It’s what I’m passionate about. And I’ve given it my all. Put my head down and I’m not listening to anyone,” he said. “And, yeah, I’m just doing my thing really.”
Rumors of a Beckham family feud have brewing for quite some time now. Brooklyn added fuel to the speculation in May when he and his wife skipped out on celebrating his dad David Beckham’s 50th birthday.
They reportedly did not attend due to one particular guest in attendance: Cruz’s then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who had allegedly dated Brooklyn in the past. However, Page Six sources — as well as Turnbull herself — declared the rumors were untrue.
“It’s just an excuse to find an argument,” a source told us, adding that the allegations were “nonsense.”
Turnbull, 24, and Romeo, 22, have since called it quits after seven months of dating. Despite all the family tension, David seemingly extended an olive branch to Brooklyn when he gave him a shout-out in his Father’s Day tribute last week.
