“Cobra Kai” star Alicia Hannah-Kim is speaking up about being bitten by co-star Martin Kove at a fan convention earlier this month.

The actor, who played martial artist Kim Da-Eun in “The Karate Kid” spinoff, addressed the bizarre episode in an Instagram video on Sunday, where she called Kove’s actions unacceptable.

“This was a serious incident,” she said. “No one wants to be attacked at work or anywhere really. And I don’t think anybody would think this is normal or warranted or acceptable.”

“I just think that when you are confronted with something like this, it’s good to stand up for yourself,” Hannah-Kim continued. “It’s an important choice to make. I think it’s the good choice to make.”

The Australian actor went on to add that the incident did not reflect her wider experience working on the show.

Alicia Hannah-Kim addressed being bitten by castmate Martin Kove at a fan event last month.

“I also want to express that this does not represent my experience with the show at large,” Hannah-Kim said. “I think everybody can tell that it’s a really good vibe and a great cast. And everybody else is delightful. I don’t want this to affect your love for the show. Feel free to love on it as hard as you want.”

Kove, who played villain John Kreese on “Cobra Kai” and in the first two “Karate Kid” films, was booted from Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, on June 23 after allegedly biting Hannah-Kim during a VIP meet-and-greet.

According to a police report filed by Hannah-Kim and obtained by Variety, she had tapped Kove on the shoulder to say hello when he grabbed her arm and bit her “so hard he nearly drew blood.”

The next day, Kove issued an apology where he claimed he was “being playful in the moment but went too far.”
