Love at first sight?

Cher recalled her ex-boyfriend Gene Simmons telling her he loved her after their first date.

In her new book, “Cher: The Memoir, Part One,” the “Believe” singer revealed that the pair met when she was invited to a reception for Gerald Ford, per an excerpt obtained by People.

At the time, Cher — born Cherilyn Sarkisian — said she first mistook Simmons for British actress Jean Simmons when they were introduced.

However, she wrote that she was “impressed” by the rockstar by the end of the evening.

The following night, they went to a concert for their first date. However, things got dicey because the “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” musician was flirting with both the singer and her friend.

The following day, Simmons called to “apologize” to Cher, now 78.

“That’s when he blurted out that he loved me,” she wrote. “We hadn’t even kissed. We’d only been out once before he left. What is it with these men?

After the “Goddess of Pop” split from husband Gregg Allman in 1979, she began dating Simmons, now 75.

During a 1979 interview with People, Cher said that she and the “Detroit Rock City’ singer were both seeing other people despite their two-year romance being the “best relationship [she’s] ever had with a human being.”

“I’m going through a very liberated phase right now,” she said at the time.

“I think I have a very masculine attitude to dating … Gene might spend time with another woman and stay the night, but he wants her to leave in the morning so he can get on with his day.”

Simmons ended up leaving Cher for another legendary singer: Diana Ross.

The “Mask” actress revealed several bombshells in her new memoir, including that she lost her virginity at age 14 as a “revenge” tactic and that she considered suicide multiple times during her tumultuous marriage to Sonny Bono.

“Cher: The Memoir, Part One” is now available to purchase.
