Cardi B brought all the energy to Spotify’s Cannes event on Wednesday, performing her upcoming single “Outside” as part of the mini concert. “Outside,” produced by Charlie Heat and HeyMicki, is slated for its official release on June 20.

“When I tell you these n—-s ain’t shit, please believe me,” Cardi hastily raps on “Outside.” “They gon’ fuck on anything, these n—-s way too easy/Good for nothing, low-down, dirty dogs, I’m convinced/Next time you see your momma, tell her how she raised a bitch.”

Many consider the song to be pointed at her estranged husband, Offset, whom Cardi has been angrily addressing via social media for weeks. Midway through her performance, the rapper said she was having “a bad day today,” adding that she didn’t know “if it’s because I’m sleepy or hungry but there’s always tomorrow.”

She also noted that this was her first time in Cannes. “It’s a beautiful time, it’s a beautiful place, so let’s do beautiful music,” she shouted from the stage. “Let’s go!”

Cardi opened her performance in Cannes with “Bongos,” a song she shares with Megan Thee Stallion, and also delivered “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” “Money,” “Up,” and her and Megan’s smash hit from 2020, “WAP.”

Cardi has been teasing her sophomore record, and first since her Grammy-winning debut, “Invasion of Privacy” in 2019, in recent weeks, telling her online followers that the finished LP is already in the hands of her label, Atlantic Records. Prior to “Outside,” Cardi released solo singles “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What.”
