Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham passed on attending fashion’s biggest night.
“Nicola and Brooklyn were never confirmed to attend Met [Gala],” a source explained to Page Six before adding that they did not go to the glamorous affair “in hopes they could see David [Beckham] and celebrate his birthday with him that week/ weekend instead.”
Sources previously confirmed to Page Six Monday, as well, that the married couple would not be at the Met Gala 2025 in New York City despite rumors of them landing a spot on the coveted guest list.
However, insiders denied to us that Brooklyn and Nicola attempted to see the soccer star on his big day.
The designer and actress had gone to the Met Gala together in 2022 and 2023. Brooklyn then went to the ball solo in 2024, sharing via his Instagram Story that Nicola was “with [her grandmother] Naunni.”
Page Six reached out to their reps for comment for further explanation on their absence this year. The couple has not posted about the event via social media.
A source further claimed to The Sun that Brooklyn “flew to London with the sole intention of seeing his family and celebrating his dad’s birthday.” He allegedly sent a text asking to grab coffee or breakfast.
Ever since April, there have been reports that the eldest Beckham son is feuding with his younger brother Romeo Beckham and the rest of their family over the latter’s new girlfriend, Kim Turbull.
Brooklyn dated the model, 24, first years ago and is reportedly concerned she is using his sibling for clout, though sources recently told Page Six those claims are “untrue.”
A source also told The Sun Monday that the photographer feels “his parents have chosen Romeo and his new girlfriend over him.”
Both Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, have noticeably kept their distance from family events in recent weeks, including skipping David’s 50th birthday bash in Miami and the soccer star’s latest celebration in London.
An insider insisted to Page Six Monday that “Brooklyn’s family adores him and will always be there for him,” pointing out, however, that “they just can’t deal with this nonsense anymore.”
“David and Victoria just want Brooklyn to remember who he is because this behavior isn’t him and isn’t how he was raised,” they further claimed.
A source added to The Sun that Brooklyn is “really upset” because he feels Nicola has been blamed for the rift, but she has “never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive.”
The couple has been married since April 2022. They wed at a lavish ceremony at her family’s estate in Palm Beach, Fla. However, even then, there were rumblings of tension between Nicola and Brooklyn’s mom, Victoria Beckham.
“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” a source close to the family alleged to Page Six at the time. “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.”
