Brooke Shields‘ daughter wants to take a path of her own.
The actress recently shared that her daughter Rowan, 22, is planning to pursue a career on-screen, but not in the same way as her mom.
“She wants to go into broadcast journalism and news,” Brooke exclusively told E! News at the opening night of Call Me Izzy on June 12. “She’s been at different outlets. She’s done their carpet stuff.”
Brooke—who also shares daughter Grier, 19, with husband Chris Henchy—then applauded her daughter, noting that while she may be biased, so many people have shared with her how much they love her daughter.
“She’s so she’s so appealing as a person,” Brooke said, “I mean, I’m her mother, you know, but people love her, and they tell me all the time. They come out of the woodwork, like when I’m doing a morning show.”
As to the advice she gives Rowan, who joined her on the red carpet for the evening on Broadway?
“I just say, ‘Never give up. Just keep going,'” Brooke shared. “She’s going to be just fine.”
