Brian Austin Green detailed the “downfall” of his romance with Tiffani Thiessen after she was cast on “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

During Monday’s episode of his “Oldish” podcast, the actor — who portrayed David Silver on the hit TV series — recalled the beginning of his relationship with his former co-star.

“I had a crush on her before ‘90210’ because we used to do all these teen magazines or whatever,” he shared, noting that Thiessen was starring on “Saved by the Bell” when they first started dating.

“I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t stand a chance. I’m reaching way above my weight class on this one,’” Green, 51, added.

The dad of five said he was “beside” himself to discover that Thiessen, also 51, was also interested in him.

“I was like, ‘This is the coolest thing ever,’ because I’d never dated anyone before, I’d never put myself out there as I did with her,” he remembered.

While dating, Green would take the “White Collar” alum to several “Beverly Hills, 90210” events. He then got a call from the showrunners asking how he would feel about her being brought onto the hit ’90s show.

Green initially thought that having Thiessen join the series — for one or two episodes — would “absolutely” be a good idea.

“I had no idea she was going to replace Shannen [Doherty] at that point, and her storyline is going to be this [big] … and it was just the hardest thing in the world,” he admitted.

Thiessen, who portrayed Valerie Malone on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” joined the series in Season 5 in 1994 to fill the void of Doherty’s character, Brenda Walsh, exiting the show.

Green confessed that he had a problem with Thiessen infiltrating his job because the “set was [his] home” and the cast was his “family.”

“This was more of a complete family, and I was there all day long, every single day. So all of a sudden she comes in and she’s working with people, not with me,” he recalled. “She has a dressing [room] in the same hallway, but we have different call times, and we have different things going on.”

The “She Fought Alone” star continued, “It was just an invasion in my space and what had become so dear to me as a kid not having that big family feeling? It was that.

“That show was so crazy, and nobody understood it like the other people on the show. Nobody would get it. So it was a really special bond.”

Green then admitted that Thiessen being cast as a full-time actor on the show was “for sure” the “downfall” of their romance.

“I was so incredibly jealous of storylines. There was just absolutely not a shred of maturity in the way I dealt [with it]. I was a wreck,” he shared.

“Every time I’d get a new script, I was like, ‘Oh, her character starts with Luke [Perry] and now she’s with Ian [Ziering].’ She literally dated every guy on the show.”

Green noted that by the time Thiessen’s character and his character began dating on the show, they had already split in real life.

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum has dated several of his co-stars in the past, including Tori Spelling and Vanessa Marcil, with whom he shares son Kassius, 23.

Green is also dad to kids Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with his ex-wife, Megan Fox; and son Zane, 2, with his fiancée, Sharna Burgess.

Meanwhile, Thiessen married Brady Smith in 2005. They share two children: daughter Harper, 14, and son Holt, 9.
