Bobby Flay remembered chef Anne Burrell in a moving post on social media, just days after the Food Network star was found dead at 55.
“Worst Cooks in America was the funnest show on TV,” Flay said of the hit show that Burrell hosted. “All of your co-hosts (me included) were just along for the Anne Burrell ride.”
He added that “the great gift” he ever got from Burrell was her “turning me on to a world of Maine Coon Cats (including Nacho),” he said, alongside a smiling photo of Burrell holding Maine Coon cats.
“A gift I’ll have forever,” Flay wrote, adding the hashtag “#unforgettable.”
Burrell was found dead at her home on Tuesday.
TMZ reported that Burrell’s husband, Stuart Claxton, last saw the chef at 1 a.m. Tuesday morning, and then found her unresponsive on the bathroom floor six to seven hours later.
CPR attempts to revive Burrell were unsuccessful, the outlet noted.
The Food Network star’s family released a statement later that day, revealing that Burrell had died.

“Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,” the statement said.
“Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”
In addition to her husband, People magazine reported that Burrell is survived by her stepson, Javier; as well as her mother, Marlene; and two siblings.
