Bleecker Street has nabbed U.S. rights to “Bone Lake,” a darkly comedic survival thriller from director Mercedes Bryce Morgan.

The film, which premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2024, will land in theaters on Oct. 10. Mister Smith, a British distribution company, has come on board to represent the international rights, which will launch at Cannes Film Festival.

“Bone Lake” follows a couple whose romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate is upended when they’re forced to share the mansion with another mysterious couple. Their dream getaway spirals into a “nightmarish maze of sex, lies and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival,” according to the official logline. Marco Pigossi (“High Tide,” “Gen V”), Maddie Hasson (“Elevation,” “Twisted”), Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave,” “Hot Summer Nights”) and Andra Nechita (“Matlock”, “The Sex Lives of College Girls”) star in the film.

Producers include by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and Jacob Yakob for LD Entertainment, along with Joshua Friedlander and Jason Blumenfeld. Executive producers are Mehrdod Heydari and Joseph Yakob for LD Entertainment, as well as Alex Roe. The deal was negotiated by Bleecker Street’s Avy Eschenasy and Miranda King, with LD’s Michael Glassman and UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers.

“Bone Lake” is the latest collaborations between Bleecker Street and co-distributors LD Entertainment after “I.S.S.” and “Teen Spirit.” Bleecker Street’s upcoming releases include “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues,” directed by Rob Reiner with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their iconic roles, as well as Max Walker-Silverman’s “Rebuilding,” starring Josh O’Connor.
