Former reality star Madi Prewett said this week she has been “free” from masturbation for about 10 years after being “enslaved” by it.

In a podcast episode with a fervently religious perspective titled “Porn & Masturbation: Harmless Habit Or Spiritual Stronghold,” the “Bachelor” alum told her story.

She said she had “struggled” since middle school, declaring on her “Stay True” show: “Thankfully, by the grace of God and by the power of godly community and people around me, I have been free from porn and masturbation for, I don’t even know, 10 years. But that was something that enslaved me and marked me for so long. That was something I felt like I could not break free from, no matter how much I loved Jesus.”

“Every time I gave in to sexual sin, I was robbed of confidence,” she continued. “I questioned my worth and my identity.”

Prewett. 29, said her obsession began around age 13 when she watched an “extremely inappropriate” show at a friend’s house.

“I had never watched anything like that before, and my body started feeling things that I had never felt before and I started, you know, wondering things that I’d never wondered before and then desiring it,” she recalled.

Prewett was the runner-up who became Peter Weber’s ultimate choice on “The Bachelor” in 2020, but they announced their split after the season aired.

One of their reported issues was lifestyle choice. Weber notably had sex four times in one night in a windmill with former “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown while the “Bachelor” was in production. Prewett, meanwhile, planned to abstain until marriage.

Prewett, who is also an author, married Grant Troutt in October 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in January.
