Bravo fans everywhere can agree that The Real Housewives of Potomac is back and firing on all cylinders. While the ladies of the DMV always bring the drama, toxicity permeated the cast last season. Unfortunately, OG Robyn Dixon was part of the casting shakeup to refresh the group for Season 9. Though it’s always sad to lose one of the pioneers of a particular franchise, Dixon appears to be thriving off-camera without her relationship with husband Juan Dixon being scrutinized by viewers each week. She recently opened a Glo30 franchise in Columbia, Maryland, and continues to host Reasonably Shady, the wildly successful podcast with her co-host/bestie Gizelle Bryant.
When Decider spoke to Bryant earlier this month, Bryant confirmed that she “want[s] Robyn to return” to the franchise. “Truth be told, Karen really missed Robyn. Ashley really missed Robyn,” said Gizelle. “The ladies would love to have Robyn back.” While it’s fun to watch Bryant grow closer with members of the cast—as well as mend her friendship with Dr. Wendy Osfeo—her dynamic chemistry with Dixon is unmatched.
Fellow OG Ashley Darby also told Decider that she misses Dixon as well. “She brings a calm to the group when things are chaotic and everybody is trying to talk the loudest,” said Darby. “Robyn was the voice of reason, and I miss the common sense element she brought to the group.” When asked if she would welcome Dixon back into the fold, Darby said: “It is my hope, my desire, and my request that Robyn Dixon make her way back to The Real Housewives of Potomac ASAP.”
At Bravo Fan Fest, Decider asked Cohen if there was a universe where Dixon could return to RHOP someday and Cohen responded positively. “Yeah, I do,” said Cohen. “There is a universe.” Cohen was quick to point out that Dixon is a cast member on the upcoming season of The Traitors (premiering January 9 on Peacock). “So that’s good news,” said Cohen.
When asked if he’s heard anything about Dixon’s stint on The Traitors, Cohen stayed mum. “I’ve heard everything but I can’t tease anything,” said Cohen. RHOP fans know that Dixon’s greatest assets are her level head and laidback attitude. Let’s hope a good performance on the hit series will pave a road back to Potomac for our girl.
