Here at Page Six, our staff’s tried practically every skincare product under the sun.
But when a whole bunch of A-listers have the same holy grail formula in common — as is the case with EltaMD’s sunscreen — we’re making space in our beauty drawers.
While the label’s often launching new formulas, the classic UV Clear sunscreen remains a Hollywood hit — so much so, Kyle Richards declared it “the best sunblock for the face” in an Amazon Live last year.
“I see this everywhere, all of the girls … my friends, we all use this,” she explained.
After trying it out myself, I can see why the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars use it to get camera-ready; it blends in like a dream and doesn’t leave a white cast on the skin, ideal for layering with makeup and setting spray on a hot summer day.
While I tend to have pretty sensitive skin, it’s never made me break out. (Plus, the oil-free zinc oxide formula is relatively unscented.)
Richards and I are hardly the only ones hooked; the formula has also been linked to Kendall Jenner, Hailee Steinfeld, Emma Chamberlain, Addison Rae and Sydney Sweeney — the latter of whom told Vogue it’s “the only sunscreen I’ve found that doesn’t break me out.”
It’s also currently Amazon’s No. 1 bestselling facial sunscreen, backed by over 45,000 (!) largely glowing reviews.
If you prefer a formula with light coverage more akin to a tinted moisturizer, the brand also makes tinted and deep tinted versions to suit a range of skin tones.
The UV Daily Tinted formula, which contains hyaluronic acid, is also a celebrity hit, as Hailey Bieber once told Elle it’s a “holy grail” product for her.
With sunny summer days just beginning, there’s never been a better time to add some SPF to your shopping cart (and your daily beauty routine).
