Meghan Markle gets by with a little help from her friends.

The Duchess of Sussex shared empowering advice she received from Serena Williams on Tuesday that has helped her live life in the public eye.

After the former actress told “Aspire” podcast host Emme Gerde that she would “rewrite” her narrative by asking people to “tell the truth” about her, Gerde said Markle must feel “angry” to have critics “lying about [her] all the time.”

Gerde, who co-founded Khloé Kardashian’s Good American brand and is a founding partner of Kim Kardashian’s Skims, asked, “Is there ever a part of you that’s like, ‘Just leave me alone?’”

Markle explained that she maneuvers the “peaks and valleys” with “a lot of self-work” — which includes asking herself, “What’s the why?”

The “Suits” alum noted, “It’s happening for a reason. My dear friend Serena … she told me years ago, ‘A lie can’t live forever.’”

The “With Love, Meghan” star quipped that “eight years is a long time but not forever.”

Markle, who has been friends with the tennis star for a decade, went on to share her wish to be “authentic” online — and brought up the viral delivery room video she posted to the “Baby Momma Dance” song earlier this month.

“It’s also a really great reminder that, with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life,” she said. “A real, authentic, fun life that’s happening behind the scenes.”

Markle continued, “I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.”

She denied using her “liberating” personal Instagram account, which she relaunched back in January, as a “tool” to push her As Ever brand.

“It was a way to get my voice back,” Markle said. “It is my space and my channel for joy.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the “Deal or No Deal” alum opened up about teaching her and Prince Harry’s “privileged” two children — Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 — gardening to stay grounded.

The family of four, who live in a $14 million mansion in Montecito, Calif., celebrated Father’s Day over the weekend.

Markle uploaded adorable home videos via Instagram on Sunday, calling her husband “the best” dad and their kids’ “favorite guy.”

The couple has been married since 2018.
