Travis Kelce shed 25 pounds in preparation for the forthcoming 2025-26 NFL season after he was dragged for his “dad bod.”
ESPN personality Jeremy Fowler revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs star will “debut a bit of a slimmer look” when he returns to the field.
“He’s told people close to him that he’s lost about 25 pounds this offseason,” the journalist said on “Sports Center” Saturday.
Fowler noted that Kelce, 35, “played a little bit heavier” last season, but “he vowed to change it — and he has.”
“This could be the last dance here for him,” the TV personality added, referring to the tight end’s rumored retirement plans.
“Mid-30s, still a productive player. They want to go to him on third down. [He’s] been declining a little bit,” Fowler continued. “He’s trying to be slimmer and has gone hardcore this offseason to make it work.”
Fowler explained that Kelce opted out of attending the Chiefs’ voluntary organized team activities last week, though he will attend minicamp from June 17 to June 19.
“The Chiefs knew Kelce was going to be gone this week,” the journalist added. “He is expected back for minicamp. He’ll address the media and be on the practice field, all that fun stuff.”
Reps for Kelce weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
The athlete’s physical transformation comes after he admitted to gaining weight ahead of the 2024-25 NFL season during a “New Heights” podcast episode in March 2024.
At the time, Travis shared that he and his older brother, Jason Kelce, were “in the same weight class” with the latter weighing around 280 pounds.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles, 37, star commented on Travis’ diet, saying he had “been drinking more.”
That June, Travis and his teammate Patrick Mahomes, 29, poked fun at their “dad bods” after struggling to fit into their jerseys for the Big Slick Celebrity Party.
“This is dad bod season,” the quarterback, who shares three kids with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, quipped.
“I have no kids. This is just what it looks like at 35!” Travis responded.
This offseason, however, Travis snagged a $20 million Florida mansion in April in the ritzy Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club neighborhood to prepare for the upcoming season.
The three-time Super Bowl winner reportedly brought his longtime private chef who has been whipping up high-protein meals consisting of shrimp, crab and yellowfish tuna for him.
Last month, Kelce was spotted sweaty and shirtless following an intense workout in the Sunshine State.
