Caitlyn Jenner has no regrets about remaining in Israel amid escalating conflict with Iran.
The Olympian-turned-reality-star defended her visit to the nation in comments published by TMZ on Monday, telling the outlet about her experience in bomb bunkers while voicing her support for Israel and its allies.
“I was proud to be in Israel, the past few days, including when the bombings started,” she said in a statement. “I sheltered in place alongside Israelis and foreigners this included, Christians, Jews, and Muslims.”
“The unity and strength of the diverse spirit of all faiths and nationalities sheltering together as one people was a ceiling I can hardly explain without getting emotional,” Jenner added. “The best version of humanity was on display in the bunkers.”

Praising the people behind the military offensive, she went on to say, “The spirit and strength of the Israeli people, and allies of Israel, specifically leaders like Donald Trump, have achieved a long overdue mission: the destruction and dismantling of the terrorist Iranian regime.”
Jenner also denounced the Iranian government as extremists, telling TMZ, “The Iranian people deserve to be liberated from these terrorists, and the world is much safer without their violent terrorist government.”
Simmering tensions between the nations began to rocket last Friday when Israel launched what it described as a preemptive strikes on Iran to subdue its nuclear program.
Tehran retaliated with a barrage of missiles aimed at Tel Aviv and other large cities in Israel. Since, Iran and Israel have been volleying bombs back and forth, sparking concern of a full war between the nations and wider regional conflict on the horizon.
By the fourth day of the clash, 24 people were killed by strikes on Israel and at least 224 people in Iran have died from the conflict, according to each nation’s government.
