Seth Meyers on Thursday found himself in unfamiliar territory when he actually agreed with Donald Trump.

Earlier, the president appeared to admit that his key campaign vow of deporting millions of undocumented immigrants — especially those working in agriculture and hospitality — might actually not be such a great idea as it could lead to employers struggling to find workers amid his administration’s immigration raids.

“Yeah!” exclaimed Meyers at Trump’s confession, before doing a double take.

“Wait, what? That’s our argument. That’s what we’ve been saying this whole time,” he said. “I feel fucking crazy right now. This is like being in a fight with your spouse and they immediately change opinions and start arguing your position back to you.”

“This thing keeps happening with Trump,” the comedian continued. “Every time he runs for president, we spend two years explaining to him why his ideas are insane and then he gets elected anyway, and then it takes three months before he figures out we were right and his ideas are insane.”

Meyers likened it to Trump’s first term moment when he admitted: “Nobody knew health care could be so complicated.”

“We knew!” Meyers said. “We all knew. Why can’t you just listen to us before you run? Why do you need on-the-job training?”
