Meryl Streep and Martin Short were spotted packing on the PDA while in character on the set of “Only Murders in the Building” after their real-life romance was confirmed.

While filming Season 5 of the Hulu drama in New York City Wednesday, Short, who was dressed as his character, Oliver Putnam, and Streep, who plays his new wife, Loretta Durkin, cuddled up with one another and then shared a passionate kiss.

The onscreen make-out session comes nearly two months after Page Six exclusively reported that Streep and Short have been dating for “well over a year now.”

A source told us that the romance between the comedian and the “Devil Wears Prada” actress, both 75, was “completely unexpected” and also “took them by surprise.”

“Meryl couldn’t help but fall for Martin,” the insider shared. “He is a gentleman, he keeps her laughing and is an all-around positive person. She loves being around him.”

Per the source, neither Streep nor Short “were looking for a relationship when they started dating.”

The pair’s “friends and family, including their kids, absolutely approve of their relationship and think they’re adorable together.”

Streep and Short first sparked dating rumors in October 2024 when they were spotted looking cozy while sitting together at the 2024 Golden Globes.

However, a rep for the “Father of the Bride” actor denied the gossip, telling People that they were “just very good friends, nothing more.”

Last January, Short doubled down on his claims that he and Streep were platonic during an appearance on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast.

“We’re not a couple. We are just very close friends,” he claimed.

The following month, the “It’s Complicated” actress and Short were spotted catching dinner together at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif.

In August 2024, Streep and the “Prince of Egypt” voice actor held hands on the red carpet at the Season 4 premiere of “Only Murders in the Building.”

At the premiere, Short gushed about his love for his co-star.

“I think a friendship always grows if you work with someone and love that person,” the Tony winner said during a sit-down interview with co-stars Selena Gomez and Steve Martin.

A source exclusively told Page Six that the actors “seemed together” during the premiere.

Since then, Streep and Short have attended several events together, including the starry “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” and to see the Broadway smash “Oh, Mary!” this past March.

Their relationship news comes after Page Six revealed in October 2023 that Streep secretly split from her husband, Don Gummer, six years ago. They were married for 40 years.

Meanwhile, Short was previously married to Nancy Dolman for three decades until she died in 2010.
