The coach continued, “He’s obviously crushed. But the guys picked him up and played a great game, and obviously we’re all concerned about Steph but it’s part of the game.”

While it is unclear when the 37-year-old—who shares kids Riley, 12, Ryan, 9, Canon, 6, and Caius, 11 months, with wife Ayesha Curry—will return to the series, his teammate Jimmy Butler III shared some encouraging words toward Steph.

“I think we all want [No.] 30 back, that is for sure,” the forward said during the press conference. “But we want him to do his best for himself, best for our group. Until then, we can hold down the fort. I know we can.”

Butler’s confidence was echoed by fellow forward Draymond Green, who also praised his teammate’s leadership.
