After Bill Belichick went viral for his rather awkward interview on CBS Sunday Morning, it came as no surprise that the ladies of The View had many thoughts to share regarding the 73-year-old coach’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.

Hudson reportedly interrupted the viral interview several times from her seat on the sidelines. So much so, the broadcast chose to include the moment she interjected to keep Belichick from revealing how they first met. “We’re not talking about this. No,” she said from off-camera. A different camera angle caught Hudson sternly looking on as the interview continued.

The interview left Alyssa Farah Griffin cackling on The View over how “wonderfully awkward” it was to watch.

Sara Haines pointed out that it was strange for Hudson to be sitting in on the interview at all, noting that it’s usually just a producer who watches broadcast interviews from the side.

Sunny Hostin, however, pointed out that Belichick “didn’t have anyone else with him.”

“I know, I don’t think he was allowed to,” Haines responded, insinuating that it may be Hudson’s fault that Belichick did not have a representative accompanying him. “Watching her watch that screen like this and stuff, it just was rich because he’s done so much in his life and you’ve got this person that, I don’t know…”

Griffin gleefully interjected, “You gotta respect her for it. He’s one of the most legendary coaches and she’s got him under control,” to which Haines added in agreement, “She’s good!”

The buzzy interview was meant to promote Belichick’s new memoir The Art of Winning: Lessons from my Life in Football, which covered his life and career coaching in the NFL for 49 seasons. But Dokoupil described Hudson as “a constant presence” during their interview.

Later reports also claim Hudson interrupted the interview during “numerous other instances” and even stormed out of the room at one point, delaying filming for 30 minutes.

Joy Behar made sure to get a joke in after Hostin pointed out that Belichick can surely “take part in a discussion about football without his 24 year old girlfriend inserting herself.”

“I don’t think you should judge. Maybe she has a nursing degree!” Behar sarcastically fired back. “Be kind, you’re so judgmental.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
