Jimmy Kimmel tore into Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for yet another scandal in which he’s been accused of sharing highly sensitive information via the Signal messaging app.
Hegseth insisted the messages were for “media coordination” and that he said as much “from the beginning.”
“Right,” Kimmel mockingly agreed. “But it was bullshit from the beginning, too!”
Kimmel also isn’t buying Hegseth’s excuse, in which he blames leakers and the media.
“You texted the exact time and place the secret bombing would begin before the secret bombing happened to your wife on an easily hackable phone. And his defense for this is, ‘Who told you and how dare they tell you?‘” Kimmel said. “This is like your wife catching you in bed with another woman and your response is ‘Well why did you come home so early?’”
Yet Hegseth keeps blaming leakers when he’s the one who has been sending sensitive information outside of secure official channels.
Kimmel rolled a super cut of Hegseth using the word “leakers” repeatedly, ending with him saying, “I don’t have time for leakers.”
“You don’t have time for leakers?” Kimmel repeated in disbelief. “You are the leaker!”
Kimmel then went below the belt with a crack about adult diapers.
“You’re the one who leaked this,” he said. “You leaked so much you should be wearing Depends to work.”
