Jason Segel had a delightful encounter with an A-list director in the unlikeliest of places: the bathroom.
“I did meet Martin Scorsese once,” Segel shared in a joint conversation with Seth Rogen for Variety.
“I met him at the Golden Globes, and we peed next to each other at the urinals. But I had the kids’ one and he had the tall one,” he said.
Segel is extremely tall ― especially by Hollywood standards ― and stands around 6 feet, 4 inches. Scorsese is listed as a foot shorter, at 5 feet, 4 inches.
“Everything about it was just way off,” Segel said. “That’s a great memory.”
Rogan added that the director is “a little guy.”
While it’s not known whether Scorsese had the same reaction to Segel’s nether regions as, um, Harrison Ford did, some unlikely famous celebrity friendships have started in the bathroom.

Selena Gomez once revealed that she first met Jennifer Aniston in a bathroom, and the two have remained friends ever since.
“I think we were at Vanity Fair something event, and I was there with my mom, and I walked into the bathroom and I saw you, and you were just, like, so nice,” the singer said in an interview with Aniston in 2020.
“You just walked out of the bathroom and you were going back, and my heart, like, stopped. And I freaked out and I ran to my mom and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I just saw Jennifer Aniston.’ I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’”
Aniston, who didn’t remember the encounter, asked: “Did I say hello? Did we have a pleasantry?”
She added that she hoped she was washing her hands.
“You were everything that I wanted,” Gomez said, as Aniston answered with a “Bless your heart.”
