Teddi Mellencamp has changed her stance on child custody amid her divorce from Edwin Arroyave.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 43, originally requested sole physical and legal custody of their three kids in her Nov. 1 divorce filing. At the time, she asked the judge to grant Arroyave “reasonable and frequent” visitation.
However, she is now seeking joint physical and legal custody of the three kids — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4 — according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Friday.
She maintained that their date of separation was Oct. 20 — despite Arroyave, 47, listing it as Nov. 1 in his filing.
The former “RHOBH” star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The pair signed a prenuptial agreement before their 2011 nuptials.
Mellencamp announced their divorce one day after filing the paperwork, telling fans she wanted to be “open, honest and vulnerable” while still protecting her family.
However, a week later, insiders told Page Six that the Bravolebrity cheated on Arroyave with her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder — whose then-wife, Karli Postel, was also a close friend.
We were told that Mellencamp and Schroeder were in Florida together for an equestrian event while his wife went into labor across the country.
The mother of two reportedly “thought it was suspicious” that her husband didn’t immediately come home for the birth. She allegedly found inappropriate messages between him and Mellencamp once he returned to California.
A heated confrontation ensued and the two reportedly “confessed” to the alleged affair.
“Teddi promised it would not happen again,” an insider told the Daily Mail. However, the reality star and the horse trainer allegedly continued seeing each other.
Although Postel didn’t immediately tell Arroyave, she disclosed the information last month after learning that Schroeder and Mellencamp’s alleged relationship was more than just sexual.
Mellencamp has yet to respond to the allegations of infidelity, telling podcast listeners “there’s multiple sides to every story.”
“I’m not going to confirm or deny anything, but there’s many people involved, and I once again say the same statement I said before –– the kids, they’re the priority and so for the time being, that’s all I’m going to discuss on this,” she said on an episode of “Two Ts in a Pod” last week.
The reality TV star was seemingly hinting at her husband’s own alleged infidelity.
Insiders close to the estranged couple recently told Page Six that Arroyave had a brief affair with a woman named Missy between 2015 and 2016 — which almost led them to divorce.
While the alleged romance lasted between six months and a year, we were told Mellencamp knew her husband’s alleged affair partner well.
The “RHOBH” star found out about the dalliance in March 2016 but they were able to work through their issues.
