Jake Paul, ahead of his next boxing match this Saturday, got into a verbal sparring match with host Piers Morgan on Thursday and stormed out of his virtual interview.
Paul, who last boxed Mike Tyson live on Netflix last year, has his first match of 2025 this Saturday against Julio César Chávez Jr.
“He’s a dumbass, and so it’s going to be apparent on Saturday when he’s the one that gets knocked out. I’m being so honest, man, this guy is easy work,” Paul told Morgan in an interview. “He’s a 5’8 little peon. If we were in the streets, I would grab that little ginger and smack him upside the head and make him forget who the fuck he was. People don’t realize, I’m a real killer. I really fucking do this shit. ‘YouTube, this YouTube, Disney that.’ This shit is not a joke. I’m knocking out the best of the best, beating all of these people time in and time again. And it’s about time, that you old heads and all these fucking boxers who think they know about the sport, put some respect on my name.”
Paul got a little heated at Morgan when the host claimed he wouldn’t have been able to beat 58-year-old Tyson in his prime.
“You don’t actually know that! You can’t sit there and say that. I think anything is possible. That’s why self-belief is the most powerful thing in the world. You don’t think I can be a Mike Tyson? I don’t think you go to the gym!” Paul said. “Oh, I’m just taking your audience to sell pay per views. I don’t give a fuck about your show, dumbass. This is a fucking business enterprise. Buy the pay per view on Saturday, June 28, me versus Julio César Chávez Jr. Thank you, tune in everybody!”
After Paul disconnected from the call, Morgan added, “Cheers Jake, really enjoyed that, and good luck to Julio – knock him out for all of us will you?”
