We have always been fascinated by the future, with many of us nowadays picturing colonies on Mars and nanobots being able to heal all of our medical woes.
But people have been making outlandish predictions about the future for centuries. One of the most famous is 16th-century French seer Nostradamus, who supposedly predicted the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Great Fire of London and the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
